We now have most of the new Speed Passion products mentioned in our previous post in stock.
The highlight is obviously the new great looking Competition 2.5R motor!
We also have the 9.5R and 13.5R Super Sportsman Stock motors in stock as well as High Power Connectors for Brushless Motors and DNA Sensor Cables in stock.
Capacitors and spare Super Sportsman rotors will follow in the next couple of days.
Last weekend the biggest indoor race of the autumn season in Finland took place in Mäntsälä, just north of Helsinki. The Rebellion Race is traditionally held around October 20th each year, the event being a 3-day race with free practice on Friday evening, qualifying on Saturday and qualifying and finals on Sunday.
The race usually draws some participants from abroad; this year drivers from italy, Russia, Germany and Finland participated. Classes are touring modified, pro-stock and stock, all with rubber tyres. In addition there’s also a 12th modified class and this year a touring modified foam tyre class.
The Rebellion Race is also traditionally run to the rules set for next year, so this years event was run according to the 2008 FinTrack rules. This meant 5 cells in all touring car classes and new brushless motors allowed in the pro-stock and stock classes. As such this was the first race where the popular Speed Passion Super Sportsman 9.5R and 13.5R motors were allowed in the pro-stock and stock classes respectively.
The Racing Factory Team were as usual present throughout the running of the race, from Friday to Sunday, displaying the latest new products on offer.
The first race with brushless stock motors was a great success for the Speed Passion Super Sportsman Stock 13.5R. The motor was used by Jukka Kerola to dominate the event from start to finish in an awesome display. Very impressive.
In the modified class Teemu Rytsy continued his strong form placing the Tamiya TRF415MSX in an overall fourth place, just behind international star drivers like Teemu Leino and Marc Fisher, and beating many other. Again, a very impressive race!
